Michael is presenting 14 new works, including four premieres, for five MIDI pianos (four Yamaha Disklaviers and a Boesendorfer 280V) and organ at the NOW! Festival "Transit" in the Essen Philharmonic. A performance of JC Risset's Duo for One Pianist will be included, with Susanne Achilles on piano and Michael on computer. Michael will also give the "Art of Hearing" introduction to the concert, including interviews with Clarence Barlow and Ludger Bruemmer.

Martin was recently commissioned by BBC Radio 3's Late Junction to write computer-music responses to baroque pieces performed by Fretwork's Liam Byrne. Man High, Martin Parker, Stephen Deazley and Andy McGregor's 2011 audiovisual collaboration will receive at least two further performances in the UK in 2013. The first will take place at Glasgow City Halls on Saturday, April 20th, the second in Aberdeen as part of the Sound Festival in November. Man High was created from footage of Joseph Kittinger's historic 'leap from space' in 1960. Frank Gerhardt joins sumtone.
