Programme Note

In this piece, techniques of materials processing are transferred to a compositional idea. In fifteen sections of the same length musical material is processed and increasingly smoothened until a single stationary tone remains. The live electronics follows this process supplementing the instrumental gestures without covering it. Additionally the repeated recording and playback of several musical sections further enhances this development thereby reflecting the increasing level of refinement.
