Locus coeruleus (the blue place) is considered the base of our conciousness. It is the part in our brain that is activated by significant sensations and thoughts. Its stimulation by electrodes causes panic. "Local Blue" deals with a few highly recognizable musical objects: a diatonic chord, a whole-tone scale, an overtone series and a cluster. All other parameters of each object are equivalent to its interval structure. The compositional process of this piece is characterized by different treatments on the object themselves like streching, compressing, mirroring, shifting etc. and the transition between them by interpolating one or more of their parameters.
